ANA-log

While flying from Tokyo to Sapporo on ANA - Airplane B777-300, I noticed this retro design feature on my arm rest. At first, I wondered what this dial is for. Intuition suggests to roll it with my finger and et voila! An ANALOG indication to help communications between passengers and flight attendants. This is such nice surprise in a highly digital age like today, when you touch and swipe smooth screens all day! Having something tactile to interact with is, for me, akin to having crunchy bits like cashews in my salad. YUMMY textural experience!
