Hello, I’m Shienny
(pronounced: sh + jenny)
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”—Laozi, The Dao De Jing
I made the transition to UX design because I believe that design and technology can help society, when used properly. Like any tool: a hammer for example, when used properly, it can help you build a home. When used improperly, it can be used to hurt. However small the part may be, I want to be the hammer that build a home.
To put it simply, I want to be useful. Useful to myself and to my community. What does that have anything to do with my personal code of ethic as a designer?
I understand that as a designer, I am privileged with the platform that has some influence over one’s behavior, and eventually one’s habit. This seems like a good opportunity to do good when possible.
Idealistic at heart and a victim of many click-bates and impulse purchases myself (that not only cost me time and money, but also clutter my mind and home), I hope to use my skills to better people’s lives, not to clutter them.
Do you feel the same? Let’s collaborate and make a difference.
On my spare time..
Tool: Procreate.

— Paulo Coelho, THE ALCHEMIST
